PURPOSE:To miniaturize a device as a whole, by a method wherein one more electromagnetic installed separately valve makes it possible to reduce the capacity of the first electromagnetic valve, as well as to perform more reliable control operation through smooth operation of a first electromagnetic valve. CONSTITUTION:While a first electromagnetic valve 1 is brought into an OFF state, an electromagnetic valve 20 repeats ON and OFF operations by means of a pulse signal S2. Thus, while a movable valve 2 is in contact with a seat part 7, the pressure in a flow passage 7a communicating with a fuel chamber 3 is gradually reduced to lower than the oil pressure level under which a plunger 1 is restorable to the original position. As a result, when the movable valve 2 restores, the resistance as before is not applied thereto, and with the electromagnetic valve 1 switched ON, the movable valve 2 restores in an excellent manner, and the movable valve 2 is spaced away from the seat part 7. Thus, the amount of the fuel fed to the plunger pump chamber 6 side varies approximately in synchronism with ON or OFF operation of the electromagnetic valve 1. |
