PURPOSE:To reproduce a recording picture with high gradation and good reproducibility without being affected with fog and nonuniformity of spot, by processing an input picture signal with a correcting dither matrix for obtaining an output picture. CONSTITUTION:Reference picture signals comprising plural different picture signal trains from a standard half tone generator 6 are inputted to a dot generator 7 by switching a switch 8, converted with a reference dither matrix of a storage device 9, and when the signal is recorded on an output film 13 and the standard half tone pattern is obtained. The data of reflection factor of the standard half tone pattern is measured, the correcting data of the result of measurement is inputted from a keyboard 14 and the reference dither matrix is converted into the corrected dither matrix. Then, an input picture signal obtained by switching the switch 8 and scanning the original 2 is inputted to the dot generator 7 and an output picture is obtained by processing the signal with the correction dither matrix. |
