PURPOSE:To prevent the glass crack occurred due to the difference of expansion coefficients between a large-diameter part and a small-diameter part of a glass sealed diode by forming a medium-diameter part of projection between the large- diameter part and the small-diameter part, thereby eliminating the direct contact with the large-diameter part which is entirely deformed at the glass side. CONSTITUTION:After an Fe-Ni strand is cut a nail hitting Dummet wire, a medium-diameter part 11 is formed in the nail hitting, thereby forming an electrode 13. A lead-less DHD diode is sealed with glass 4 by the electrode 13. Thus, the glass 4 is not contacted directly with the side 14 of the large-diameter part 9 via the medium-diameter part 11 formed between the small-diameter part 8 and the large-diameter part 9 of the electrode 13. Accordingly, glass crack caused by the difference of expansion between the glass and the electrode can be improved. In addition to the medium-diameter part between the small-diamete part and the large-diameter part, two projections are formed between the large- diameter part and the small-diameter part, thereby obtaining similar effect. |
