PURPOSE:To aim at preventing the breaking of a wire, by forming a spool for an ultra-fine metal wire, in such a way that the cross-sectioned shape of the inside convex surface of one flange has a convex curve which is half of a parabolic curve, and a tapered barrel is used, thereby the pulling-up resistance of the wire is reduced and as well, the wire is prevented from thrusting into the flange surface upon winding the wire. CONSTITUTION:In the standing posture of a spool, the inside surface of the upper flange 2 of the spool has a convex curved surface part 7 in the substantial part of the inside surface, and the barrel is a tapered barrel 8 which is made thin upward. When a wire member is pulled up from the spool, the pulling-up resistance is abruptly reduced, and the wire is prevented from thrusting into the flange surface, which is liable to be occurred when the wire is wound onto a conventional spool. Further, due to the provision of the convex curved surface part 7, the winding pressure may be divided so that the flange may be prevented from being broken. Further, since the tapered barrel 8 has a large diameter lower section, it has a role to prevent the surface avalanche of the wire member in the surface 3 thickened by winding. 3. Further, since the convex surface part is formed in such a way that a half of a parobolic curve is rotated in one round about its axis, the wire member may be flatly wound if the traverse width is widened by a traverser moved at a constant speed. Thereby, the breaking of the wire and the damage of the flange may be prevented from being occurred. |
