The invention relates to a reeling device used for rereeling a reelable means, for example a hose or a cable. The reeling device of the invention encloses a protecting case 5 enclosing a passage 18 which is provided with at least one stop notch 20 serving to block the movement of a spring shaft 12 forming an integral part of a spring motor 3, the spring shaft 12 having at least one locking pin 21 which buts up against the stop notch 20 in the locking position. This novel type of protective case simplifies the construction of the reeling device and enables certain essential modifications, such as adjustments, to the reeling device to be carried out without being obliged to dismantle the latter. The invention can be applied to the reeling device for hoses and cables. <IMAGE>
