The invention relates to a method for measuring the integral weight of a particulate substance which continuously feeds a powder treatment system 16 comprising a powder feed vessel 4 receiving powder from a filling supplement vessel 3. The method consists in adding together, load by load, the supplement weight of powder transferred from the filling supplement vessel 3 into the powder feed vessel 4 in order to obtain the total weight of supplement powder, in subtracting the sum of the weights of the momentary contents of powder of the respective vessels 3, 4 from the total weight of supplement powder when the measurement is performed concurrently with the filling complement operation, and in subtracting the weight of the momentary content of powder contained in the powder feed vessel 4 from the total weight of supplement powder when the measurement is performed immediately after a period corresponding to a filling supplement operation in order to obtain an integral weight of the particulate substance which has been released over a given time period. <IMAGE>
