Method for calibrating a transducer

The method calibrates a transducer with an electrical output. The input quantity, e.g. pressure, is applied simultaneously to the transducer to be calibrated 13 and to a reference transducer 12 and its magnitude is varied slowly and continuously (generator 14). Calibration is carried out by comparison between the two transducers. The method is suitable for automation of the various stages of the calibration.
