The apparatus measures the slope or inclination of a surface or line with respect to a predetermined reference plane. It consists of a framework with a general rectangular or trapezoidal shape provided with three external support faces 2, 4, 6 at right angles to each other along three sides 1, 3, 5 of the framework. A device 8 attached firmly to the framework is sensitive to variations in the spatial position of the apparatus and delivers a signal proportional to the angle between one of the support faces 2, 4, 6 and the reference plane. Means 9 are provided for displaying the value of the measurement made by the sensitive device. Application to the measurement of any angle of inclination or slope of any surface or line. <IMAGE>
