The invention permits mechanisation of the manual work provided by a person with a view to preparing sautéed or similar dishes. It is an automatic machine with variable programmes: in practice, preparation of a dish amounts to turning the knob of a timer. It generally comprises several modules (or central parts) which are independent (electrically and mechanically) and mounted on a fixed stand comprising a tray pierced with holes. Figure 1 shows a model of a module. On the top of each module is a frying pan receiving the composition of a dish or water for washing; above the frying pan a mixer rotates virtually horizontally. The frying pan may assume two final positions, either horizontal or tilted; the latter position of the frying pan is used for pouring the composition of a prepared dish into a plate to be placed on the tray or for draining washing water. <IMAGE>
