PURPOSE:To provide a transportation device having a high heat-resistance characteristics which is suitable for transporting hot ash produced in a combustion furnace or ceramic industry by a method wherein powders or grains are transported by a blade slidably contacting with a water-cooled trough bottom surface and circulatively moved. CONSTITUTION:A driving roller 7 and a driven roller are arranged in a starting end and a terminating end of a cylindrical trough 1 having a water-cooled jacket 2, a blade 9 at the lower area of both link chains 8 moving from the starting end to the terminating end is slidably contacted along the bottom surface of the trough 1, and cooling water is flowed in a hollow part of interior 6 of the driving roller 7 and the driven roller. Thus, the hot ash fed from a hopper 4 into the trough is moved along the bottom of the trough by the blades 9 depending from the circulating right and left link chains 8, 8, discharged from the dropping part 5 at the other end. During this operation, cooling water is supplied from a water supplying pipe 12 to protect each of the hollow shafts 6, rollers 7 fixed to it and the trough, in particular its bottom surface against the heat from ash, resulting in producing no trouble in operation caused by a thermal deformation. |
