In a flue gas convector having a box-shaped housing hollow member for the passage of fine gases and connecting pieces for the supply and removal of the flue gases, for the purpose of improving the flow of flue gas and utilising the flue gas heat the housing hollow member is provided with two annular moulded parts (2, 3), which embrace one another concentrically at a distance in an upright fashion, and with annular cover parts (5, 6), which connect said annular moulded parts to one another at the end faces, and the flue gas chamber (4) is provided with two diametrically constructed connecting pieces (7, 8). Furthermore, the flue gas chamber (4) is subdivided into flue gas chamber sections (4', 4") located next to one another by means of a vertical partition (9) which extends parallel to the axis of the connecting pieces (7, 8). <IMAGE>
