A machine is described for compacting concrete by means of vibrators, having a holding frame and guiding and supporting devices for moving a vibrating beam through the concrete. To create such a machine, with the aid of which it is possible to work large areas, provision is made for at least two vibrating beams to be arranged in the direction of their longitudinal axes substantially one behind the other on a supporting framework spanning the entire length of all vibrating beams, which supporting framework is supported by means of an undercarriage so as to be movable on rails by drive means. As a result, it is possible to work a width of 5 m and more, if desired up to a width of 30 m, vibrating beams being moved transversely to their longitudinal direction for the working.
