A 3/2-way valve having a control piston in the interior of the valve housing. It is intended to be possible to slow down the opening and closing speed of the valve in an adjustable manner, and to subject its sealing surfaces to little wear. As the drawing in Fig. 1 shows, this is achieved in that the control piston (1) extends with a piston rod (1d) and an additional piston (1e) to in front of a compression space (4) which can be connected via a valve seat (10) and a valve cone (7) to a line (6) which leads into free space. The control piston has a radial hole (1c) between its sealing surfaces (1a, 1b), the valve seats (2, 5) and a bypass opening (14), which radial hole (1c) is connected to a hole (3) which is guided centrally through the piston rod (1d) and has a constriction point (9), which is connected to the pressure space (4) and has a variable cross-section which is smaller than the cross-section of the passage of the opening of the valve seat (10). <IMAGE>
