PURPOSE:To improve a combustion efficiency and prevent a generation of molten clinker by a method wherein combustion air is supplied to the upper and lower parts of piled layer under its dispersed condition and a part of the combustion gas is recirculated and mixed with the combustion air. CONSTITUTION:In a combustion furnace 16 is filled a solid fuel, e.g. coke and a piled layer 36 is formed on a grid 21. To this piled layer 36 is flowed a part of the combustion air as shown by an arrow 52 from the lower part of the piled layer 36 to the upper part thereof through the first air feeding pipe 51. Remaining combustion air fed from the second air feeding pipe 53 is introduced into the piled layer 36 from the side wall of the combustion furnace 16 as shown by an arrow 54. While the combustion gas is induced by an induction blower 33, the part of the combustion gas fed out of the induced blower 33 is guided to a line 55 through a line 43. In this way, the part of the combustion gas is mixed with the combustion air and supplied under a dispersed condition from the side ranging from the upper part to the lower part of the piled layer 36, the coke is entirely combustioned, so that a production of non-combustion gas is prevented and a generation of clinker in the piled layer 36 is prevented. |
