Alternating-current generator (1) with vacuum pump (11), the vacuum pump (11) being fitted at the front face of the generator (1), i.e. between the driven pulley (20) and the generator, and the pump shaft (12) being detachably linked to the generator shaft (3) by means of a tubular receiving shaft (4). A sealing element (9) is arranged in the tubular receiving shaft (4), to avoid leaking of lubricating oil from the pump (11) to the brushes (22) which are arranged on the rear face of the alternating-current generator (1). <IMAGE>
