PURPOSE:To exchange the tool automatically with a simple structure by a method wherein members, for attaching the tools, are provided on each links of a chain, being put on a moving table, reciprocating linearly and rotating intermittently into one direction. CONSTITUTION:The automatic tool exchanging device 1 is equipped with following and driving sprockets 2, 3, the chain 4, the tool adaptor 5, a reciprocating device 6, the intermittently rotating mechanism 7 and a control unit 8 while the sprocket 2 is connected to the moving table 10 and the tool adaptor 5 is equipped with a tool attaching member 23. The cylinder 27 of the reciprocating device 6 is operated by the control unit 8 and the moving table 10 is moved through a rod 29. When the table is moved further, a crank member 32 is operated intermittently to rotate the sprocket 3. When the moving table is moved further, the sleeve taper part 24a of the tool attaching member 23 is inserted into the spindle part 26 of a main shaft table 12. |
