PURPOSE:To accommodate many tools within a tool magazine having a small area by a method wherein the disc-like tool magazine, on which cartridges, having a plurality of tool sockets, are arranged radially, is employed. CONSTITUTION:Eight sets of the cartridges 39, having three sets of tool sockets 57 on the base body 23 of the disc-like magazine, are arranged on the disc-like tool magazine 22, therefore, twently-four pieces of the tools may be accommodated in the magazine in total. A magazine indexing motor 61, attached to the base table 21, indexes the base body 23 of the magazine through gears 27, 63. First cartridge guiding device 65 is located above the base table 21 and when the cartridge 39, accommodated in the base body 23, has been positioned at a first indexing position 67, the cartridge 39 is guided and moved toward the guiding device 65 from the notch 37 of the base body 23 of the magazine. |
