PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of violent noise caused by the collision between a steel pipe standing at a transfer terminal and a rolling down steel pipe, by providing a blocking body, for blocking once the rolling down steel pipe at a prescribed position, to a skid for transferring a steel pipe by rolling it. CONSTITUTION:A rolling pipe blocking body 3 made capable of appearing and disappearing from the surface 6 is provided to a moving body 2 arranged movably by a motor 1 along the inclined surface 6 of a skid B. Further, optical sensor system detectors 4, 5 for detecting the presence or absence of a steel pipe A are installed at the upper and lower sides of the body 2 along the surface 6. The body 2 is moved to the right when the pipe A is detected by both detectors and to the left when not detected, and is stopped when the pipe A is detected by the the detector 5 and not detected by the detector 4. Thus, even the number of pipes A, stopped by a stopper C, is changed, the body 2 is always stopped at a fixed relative position with respect to the standing pipe at the right end. Then a descending pipe A is once blocked by the body 3, and thereafter, when the body 3 is laid down, the pipe A rolls down quietly in a fixed positional relation to collide with the standing pipe without generating a violent noise. |
