In a coil-winding machine that produces cylindrical coils each having a plurality of coil layers, an insulating bobbin is detachably mounted on a coil-winding spindle driven by a driving source. A coil-wire supplying device supplies coil wire continuously onto the bobbin to form the coil layers, and an insulating tape supplying device continuously supplies insulating tape over each coil layer to form tape windings that partly overlap each other in longitudinal.
