PURPOSE:To detect whether a receiving picture qualitity is good or not irrespective of the length of recording paper, by displaying a fact that the communication is failed, in case when a ratio of the number of lines having an error to the number of normal lines exceeds a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile picture signal is demodulated through a MODEM circuit 1, and thereafter, is recorded by a recording device 3, and simultaneously, whether a decoded signal is decoded normally or not is detected by an error detecting circuit 4. A counter 5 counts the number of lines which are decoded normally. The number of lines having an error is counted by a counter 6. When a value of the counter 5 attains a prescribed value N, ''1'' is substrated from the counter 6. In case when a value of the counter 6 attains a constant M, the counter 6 outputs a signal for indicating the comunication end. |
