The electrical drive having an asynchronous motor contains a series circuit which consists of an active-current transmitter (1) of the stator of a short-circuit rotor asynchronous machine, a coordinate converter (2), a unit (3) of a phase-sensitive rectifier, and of a controllable power source (4) which is connected to the stator windings of the asynchronous motor (5). The output of the active-current transmitter (1) of the stator is connected to the control input (7) of a frequency generator (8) for the rotor currents, which frequency generator (8) is connected on the output side to the input (9) of a reference-pulse shaper (10) whose other input (11) is connected to the output of a reference-frequency adjuster (12). The electrical drive contains a rotor-rotation-frequency multiplier (18), whose inputs (19, 20) are connected to the rotation-angle transmitter (6) of the rotor and to the reference-frequency adjuster (12), and whose output is connected to the input (21) of the shaper (10). At the same time, the outputs of the shaper (10) are connected to the inputs (22, 23) of the coordinate converter.
