PURPOSE:To efficiently transfer the data from sectors arrayed continuously, by providing the titled device with a target counter storing sequential information from a processor and a length counter storing the prescribed number of records from the processor. CONSTITUTION:The prescribed number of records is set up in the length counter 7 by a microprogram. Subsequently, the prescribed address is set up in a target register 1 and the target counter 2. Disc reading data read out by the starting of reading access to a magnetic disc device are compared with the output of a target selector 3 by a comparator 5 through a shift register 4, an when both data are inconsistent, the access is ended. Thereafter, the sequential information stored in the target counter 2 is rewritten in every access of the succeeding record until all the number of records stord in the length counter 7 is processed. Thus, the record controlling information of a record to which data are transferred is updated. |
