<p>This invention provides an apparatus, for administering liquid into the body, including a feeder tube (1) into which liquid enters at an upper part (2) and from which liquid flows out at a lower part through part through an exit opening (3). In order to shut off the system before the liquid supply is exhausted a floatable valve (5) is provided which floats in an upper position so long as there is plenty of liquid in the feeder tube (1) but which moves to a lower position to close the exit opening (3) before the liquid level in the feeder tube (1) falls to a dangerously low level. The exit opening (3) is preferably provided with an improved tube (4,C) shaped projection to control the movement of the valve member (5,A).</p> |
