PURPOSE:To provide a hydraulic fluid of high chemical stability, low solidifying temperature, high boiling point, and little variation in viscosity over a wide range of temperatures, capable of ready elimination of the water contaminated, suitable, among others, as brake oil, consisting mainly of a methyl polysiloxane oil with specific gravity. CONSTITUTION:The objective hydraulic fluid consisting mainly of a methyl polysiloxane oil constituted by a siloxane unit of formula (a is 1-3) with a specific gravity >=1.02 (at 25 deg.C) and pref. a viscosity of 10-1,000cst (at 25 deg.C). Said methyl polysiloxane oil can easily be prepared by homocondensation or nonaqueous hydrolyzing condensation of 1-3 sorts of methyl halogenosilane or methyl alkoxysilane. |
