Welding polyalkylene/polyamide laminates

In a process for welding laminates with several layers formed into bags and filled with highly viscous or plaste-like materials contg. organic solvents, the material placed in direct contact with the filling material is a sheet of polyalkylene and the sheet next to it is a sheet of polyamide. Pref. the outside layer of the bag is further protected with a sheet of metal, particularly Al and finally a sheet of cellulose based material e.g. regenerated cellulose. Welding may be ultrasonic, or by high frequency or low temp. thermo-electric heating. The welded packages formed from the laminates are impermeable so that solvents may be retained.
