<p>Manufacture of a non-woven fleece from spun continuous filaments in known manner whereby a bundle of filaments is advanced by a fluid stream onto a reception surface on which they are deposited in random loops, the fleece being then bonded to impart sufficient cohesion, but with the modification that a bundle of filaments are fed to the fluid stream having a visible crimp in the relax or unstretched state, the crimp wave running in common through all the filaments in the bundle so that the plane running in the principal direction of a bundle deposited without tension as a straight line and running through the successive crimp waves, now where possesses an uninterrupted angular rotation in one direction of more than 180 degrees and an angular rotation of this plane in one direction is followed by angular rotation through approximately the same angle in the opposite direction.</p> |
