PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a blast furnace, while inhibiting the falling of an ore brace, by suspending the titled protective liner equipped with a hanging hook at the top end and another hanging hook and a hook-shaped projection at the lower end inside the furnace. CONSTITUTION:Hanging hooks 82 provided at the upper and lower ends of the protective liner 7 of an ore brace 3 for a blast furnace are adjustably supported with a shell 1. The lowermost end of the hardware 3 is pivoted with a hook- shaped projection 74 provided at the lower end of the liner 7. Said liner 7 is curved lengthwise, while grading its widthwise cross section. The entire circumference of the charging part of the blast furnace is lined with the hardware 3, while holding the depressed surface of the liner 7 at the side of the shell 1. Thus, the life of the blast furnace is prolonged, while inhibiting the falling of the hardware 3. |
