PURPOSE:To improve tracking accuracy by performing two-stage tracking control consisting of crude tracking and precise tracking, and in case of the precise tracking, by controlling the sun so that the output voltages of plural photodetecting elements arranged around a solar battery are uniformed. CONSTITUTION:A sun image projected on the solar battery 14 is formed in the concentrical status with the solar battery when the photodetecting surface 2 is positively opposed to the sun, and the output voltages V1-V3 of small solar batteries 15 are uniformed, so that it is discriminated by an electronic computer 6 that the photodetecting surface is positively opposed to the sun. When the photodetecting surface is shifted from the positively opposed position to the sun, the image 17 is also shifted like a chain line, so that the voltages V1-V3 of the batteries 15 are differently changed. Consequently, the moving direction of the image 17 is discriminated, the azimth and the angle of elevation are calculated by the computer 6 in accordance with the size of the voltages V1-V3 and motors 9, 9' are driven until the voltages V1-V3 are uniformed in accordance with the calculated result. |
