PURPOSE:To prevent a vehicle from inertially swinging back, in a vehicle attitude control device for restraining the nose-down and squat attitudes of the vehicle, by temporarily hightening the damping force and spring constant of a front or rear wheel suspension system upon the nose-down or squat attitude being detect. CONSTITUTION:When a brake switch and accelerator switch 15 are turned on, a rotary solenoid 13 is deenergized to open an oil passage in a hydraulic damper 1. However, when for example, the switch 15 is turned on, a control circuit 14 operates so that a rotary solenoid 13 is energized to close the oil passage in the hydraulic damper 1 for hightening the damping force of the damper 1. With this arrangement, upon braking the front wheels are controlled but upon accelerating the rear wheel are controlled. Upon the completion of the operation the switch is turned off to deenergize the solenid 13 for returning the control device to its original position. With this construction, the swinging back of the vehicle due to the inertia of the vehicle body may be prevented. |
