PURPOSE:To make the unfurling and furling operation of a jib easy ever so facile and performable in an automated manner by means of remote control, by attaching a takeup mechanism for a wire rope, to the upper end of the jib. CONSTITUTION:In time of unfurling a jib 17, a drum 20 is rotated by a motor 21 and then a wire rope 22 is coiled round in the drum 20 whereby the upper end is secured tight to the wire rope 22 and the jib 17 so far rolled round in a takeup roller 10 being built in a boom 5 is hoisted along a groove 4 in a guide 3, thus unfurled. On the other hand, in time of furling the jig 17, a motor 14 is set in motion, rotating the takeup roller 10 via a belt 16 stretched round in each of wheels 13 and 15, thus the jib 17 is rolled round in the takeup roller 10 and furled up. |
