PURPOSE:To obtain a foil winding coil of high reliability regarding mechanical strength and cooling efficiency by a method wherein a metal sheet and an insulation sheet are lapped after being contacted by heating rollers separately to make the sheets free from wrinkles. CONSTITUTION:A constant tension is given to a metal sheet 7 and an insulation sheet 8. Each sheet is contacted by heating rollers 16, 17 and then is lapped by a core 15. The sheets 7, 8 are contacted by the rollers 16, 18 and their temperature reaches approximately 100 deg.C and the sheets are made a little bit soft so that they fit to the outside surface of the rollers well and are kept free from wrinkles. The rollers 16, 17 have a shape of a drum and the tension applied to the sheets at the central portion of their width differs from the tension at both end portions of the sheets and the sheets are expanded to the direction of the width so that the generation of wrinkles is prevented. With this constitution, the sheets 7, 8 are lapped by the core 15 without wrinkles and the roller 18 presses the sheets so as not to loosen them, and heats them at the same time. Cooling ducts are inserted and lapped at the required positions. |
