PURPOSE:To check strain due to thermal process of a color picture tube and correct the deterioration of color purity by fully recrystalizing inner organization of the materials of a shadow mask, a mask frame and a magnetic shield. CONSTITUTION:Metal materials forming a shadow mask 2 arranged between the phosphor screen 4 of a panel 3 and an electron gun 1, a mask frame 5 holding it and a magnetic shield 6 provided on the side of the electron gun 1 are given heat treatment at not less than 650 deg.C. By said heat treatment, the inner organization of the metals is fully recrystalized while removing strain generated during rolling materials. According to said method, the change of (q) value due to thermal distortion during the thermal process of a color picture tube can be reduced in order to check the change of color purity. |
