PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality wound magnetic core by a method wherein a break of the core is prevented by winding a ribbon of amorphous material around a ceramics core. CONSTITUTION:A non-magnetic ceramics core which is resistant enough against the prescribed heat treatment temperature is formed with compound of Al2O3, SiO2 or the like or of resin, metal, graphite or the like with the above materials. An amorphous ribbon before heat treatment has tenacity and can be wound easily around the ceramics core to compose a wound magnetic core. After the heat treatment, the amorphous ribbon becomes brittle but does not break because it is protected by the ceramics core and processability is improved. The ceramics core is also a heat insulating material which makes the temperature distribution uniform so that yield after the heat treatment can be improved. With this constitution, a wound magnetic core with high quality can be obtained. |
