PURPOSE:To reduce design load of marine structure by improving the shape of foot of marine structure thereby reducing the ice load functioning onto the foot pole. CONSTITUTION:An ice breaking member 4 is fixed rotatably in the vicinity of the draft line of the foot pole of a marine structure. The lower face 4a of said member 4 is inclined toward the upper end while two projections 6 are provided on both sides of the lower face at the leading edge and single projection 7 is provided in the center of the root section. The ice plate rushing toward the foot pole 1 is broken effectively by the inclined lower face 4a, and said projections 6, 7 to prevent adhesion of ice to the foot section. |
