PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, inexpensive pressure fixation device by raising a voltage impressed to a motor above the continuous rated voltage of the motor only in a period from the time when the front edge of recording paper comes close to a roll until it is squeezed between rolls to exit. CONSTITUTION:When the recording paper 1 carrying a toner image is inserted among rolls 9a, 9b, and 9c rotated by the motor 10, the pressure fixation device sticks toner to the recording paper 1 by the pressure from the rolls 9a and 9b. Then, the voltage impressed to the motor 10 is raised above the continuous rated voltage of the motor 10 only in the period from the time when the front edge of the recording paper 1 approaches the rolls 9a and 9b until it is squeezed between the rolls 9a and 9b and exits. |
