<p>In an arrangement for preheating scrap, air is blown by means of a blower (6) through a heat exchanger (1), in which the air is heated, whereupon the air is conducted through a first scrap basket (3) and then through a second scrap basket (4) and subsequently for further circulation back to the blower (6). The distributing device (8, 15), which supplies the air to one scrap basket and removes it from the other, is rotatable about the vertical axis of the heat exchanger (1), it being possible to move the covers (9, 18) hanging on the distributing device from scrap basket to scrap basket, these scrap baskets being arranged in a circle around said axis of rotation. <IMAGE></p> |
