PURPOSE:To compensate an error of the detection output of a sensor easily, accurately, and automatically without requiring experience or preception, by setting a digital switch for adjusting the input value of a microcomputer. CONSTITUTION:Before a displacement sensor 3 is fitted to a wall surface 1 of a fuel injection pump, the reference output of this sensor 3 is measured by a voltmeter through a lead wire 15 and its error quantity is coded by using the code table stored in a storage device 23. For example, when a compensation code ''000010'' is selected, the value is recorded on the external surface of the displacement sensor 3. Then, the number of the digital switch 21 is set manually so that it becomes as same as the compensation code ''000010'' recorded on the external surface after the sensor cover 5 of the digital switch 21 is engaged threadably in the wall surface 1 of the fuel injection pump. Consequently, the microcomputer 17 compensates the error of the detection output of the displacement sensor 3 automatically. |
