PURPOSE:To dispense with a separate cylinder to reduce the number of parts by forming a pressure pump chamber and an injection pump chamber in a single cylinder body. CONSTITUTION:A pressure plunger 15 and an injection plunger 16 are slidably inserted into a cylinder body 10 respectively. A pressure pump chamber chamber 17 is formed between the pressure plunger 15 and the cylinder body 10. And an injection pump chamber 18 is formed between the cylinder body 10 and the injection plunger 16. The pressure pump chamber 17 and the injection pump chamber 18 are formed in a single cylinder body 10 and disposed with the respective axes spaced from each other. Thus, a seal structure between the respective cylinders is dispersed with and a compact fuel injector having a small axial dimension can be provided. |
