PURPOSE:To eliminate a roll straightening stage, and to simplify a process, by straightening the shape of an extruded material basing on the signal outputted from a shape detecting device provided to the port of an extruder platen before cooling the hot extruded material. CONSTITUTION:The shape of an extruded aluminum material A, hot extruded from a platen 11 of an extruder, is detected by shape detecting devices such as a flatness detector 12 and a squareness detector 13. Then, straightening devices 14a, 14b act to straighten the flatness of the material A basing on the signals outputted from these devices. Next, the material A, after straightening the flatness, is cooled by an air-cooling device 23. |
