PURPOSE:To achieve an efficient processing of pi-characters by printing on a margin outside the line to be printed with a type for indicating pi-characters provided in a type case in response to a pi-character command. CONSTITUTION:In the case excluding the part B in the flow chart, a mark m1 is printed at the position P of the pi-character with a type for indicating extra characters. When the part A is changed for a space processing, a space is shifted at the position P of pi-character, a mark m2 is printed in a margin corresponding to the space. When parts A and B are carried out, marks m1 and m2 are printed at the position P of the pi-character and in a margin corresponding to the space with types for indicating pi-characters respectively. Thus, the processing of the pi-characters by a space or a mark eliminates the suspension of printing. After the end of printing the entire text in this manner, the pi-characters separately printed are applied at the specified position. This enables the efficient processing of the pi-characters without erroneous and forgotten application thereof. |
