PURPOSE:To hold a platen glass stably at all times without causing distortion of a cover by constituting the platen glass and the cover in a body with a rigid support. CONSTITUTION:A platen support 4 is formed by a curb structure made by welding thin plates having U-shaped sectional form. A glass 6 is placed on it and a cover 1 is provided. An opening 2 of the cover 1 is made to conform with the glass 6. The support 4 and the cover 1 are fastened by screwing using fitting holes 7 of the support 4 and fitting holes of the cover 1. Thus, the glass 6 is held firmly between the support 4 and cover 1. The curb structure forming the platen support is relatively lightweight and has high rigidity. Accordingly, the obtained top cover is relatively lightweight and high in strength. |
