PURPOSE:To measure accurstely the amount of conveyed wood chips per unit time and the bulk density thereof by a method wherein the shock of the wood chips supplied in the surplus state and the loadage thereof, etc. are absorbed by an internal belt conveyor and thereby the measuring percision of a weighting machine arranged in the latter-half part is improved. CONSTITUTION:A level roll 12 is moved vertically so that its height is adjusted to a position matched with a desired amount of wood chips 9 conveyed per unit time. This position is detected by a position detector 13, and a position signal taken out thereby is output to an operator 22. Since the area of the platform of a weigher 20 is set beforhand in the operator 22, the volume of the amount of the wood chips 9 conveyed per unit time is calculated according to the input of the position signal. Under these conditions, the wood chips 9 supplied via a transportation conveyor 8, etc. are found in the surplus state in a reservoir unit 10 regulated by side walls 6 and 6' and elastic bodies 7 and 7' in the front- half part of a belt conveyor 4, and the reservoire unit 10 is transferred in parallel in the forward direction, since the belt conveyor 4 rotates in the direction A at a prescribed speed. |
