Device for handling sheet-like articles, especially pieces of leather, characterised in that it comprises: an input conveyor 1 arranged so that the operator can deposit thereon, flat, at a loading end 14, the articles 18 one by one; and a second conveyor 8, interacting with the first conveyor 1 over a portion of its travel in order to define with it a zone 12 for gripping and for turning over, face for face, the articles in order to transfer them from the first to the second conveyor, this second conveyor having an unloading end 15 close to the loading end 14 of the first conveyor so that the operator can remove the articles therefrom. <IMAGE>
