发明名称 FLEXURAL TEST MACHINE
摘要 PURPOSE:To make it possible to impart an uniform flexural moment to a test piece and to miniaturize the titled test machine, by a method wherein chucks each grasping both ends of the test piece are respectively secured onto rotary plate bodies mutually rotating to opposed directions and the distance obtained by dividing the linear distance connecting the chuck and the inside end of each chuck by the ratio of the circumference to its diameter is made equal to 1/2 of the distance between the axes of the rotary plate bodies. CONSTITUTION:A test piece is grasped at both ends thereof in a slidable manner by each chuck 11. In the next step, a worm 12 is rotated through a worm shaft 13 by driving a motor 16 and the rotation thereof is further transmitted to two wheels 14 to rotate the same while flexural deformation is applied to the test piece 1 grasped by the chuck 11. In this flexural test machine, a value obtained by dividing the initial length L0 of the test piece 1 by the ratio of the circumference to its diameter pi is shown by the formula L0/pi=l0 and, in the length of the test piece 1, it is recognized that the initial length L0 is not almost different from the deformation length L1 until the rotary angle theta of the chuck 11 reaches 90 deg., that is, L0 L1 is formed. That is, in this case, even if the test piece 1 is fixed by the chuck, an almost uniform flexural moment is imparted to deform the test piece in a circular arc shape.
