PURPOSE:To reduce an amt. of metallic salt dissolving agent to be used, and to prevent production of sludge in a developing soln. and to improve storage stability, by using a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive material contains on the surface in the photographic constitutent layers formed on a support, photosensitive silver halide grains, metallic salt grains more easily soluble alone than said silver halide grains but made hardly soluble with a hardly-solubilizing agent, physical development nuclei, and a compd. represented by the shown general formula, in which Z<1>, Z<2> are each a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to complete a 5- or 6- membered N-contg. hetero ring; R<1>, R<2> are each lower alkyl or substd. alkyl, and at least one of the two is sulfoalkyl or carboxy alkyl; R<3> is lower alkyl; X is an anion; (l), (m), (n) are each 0 or 1; and (a) is 0 or 1. Said material is imagewise exposed and processed with a soln. contg. a reducing agent and a substance dissolving said metallic salt grains. A metallic image is deposited on the development nuclei. |
