PURPOSE:To easily open or close the gate door of a sluice by a simplified constitution in which a gate door having a rotary shaft projected upwards in the vertical direction is set between a pair of weir pillars in a horizontally turnable manner. CONSTITUTION:A gate door D having a rotary shaft 2 projected upwards in the vertical direction is set between a pair of weir pillars 1 in a horizontally turnable manner. The rotary shaft 2 is projected through a connecting beam 3, and a ratchet spanner 4 is connected to the tip of the rotary shaft 2. By operating the spanner 4, the gate door D is opened or closed horizontally. The width of the gate door D is made slightly larger than the distance between the weir pillars in such a way as to enable the gate door D to stop at a place slightly inclined to the orthogonal direction of water channel in the closed state. A rubber water-sealing material 5 to be touched by the door-catch surface of the weir pillars 1 is also attached to the widthwise end of the gate door D. |
