The invention relates to sleeping arrangements for persons in a space regarded as too small for this use. Its criteria are maximum comfort for minimum bulk. Pivoting on its shafts 6 and 8 at the end of its extension pieces 7, the bed rises above the windscreen of the vehicle and, by means of its articulations 17 and 18, matches the shape of the rise of the roof, thus folding into a minimum of space. Detached from its supports 13, it opens at its articulation 17 and rocks via its shafts 6 and 8 on its extension pieces 7. The most advantageous application of the invention is its use in campers, caravans or other dwellings which may or may not be mobile. <IMAGE>
