PURPOSE:To eliminate noise generated due to explosive combustion, by a method wherein a device is of a structure in which an input side mechanism is housed in a muffler being located in a submerged condition as a housing device within a hot water storage tank. CONSTITUTION:Feed air from a fan F for forced fed air forcibly opens a feed air valve V through a muffler chamber 1 and a combined expansion chamber and air chamber 2 in an input side muffler A extending from a feed air duct 6, and is supplied to a mixing chamber 7. Noise produced during explosive combustion is erased by a two-step speed reducing muffler function effected by the combined expansion chamber and an air chamber 2 and a muffler chamber 1. Fuel gas through a gas feed pipe 15 is uniformly pressurized and fed through a gas jet nozzle 8 to the mixing chamber 7 where the gas is sufficiently mixed with the feed air uniformly pressured. The mixture fed to a combustion chamber 16 is fired by discharge spark from an ignition electrode and is explosively burnt to close the feed air valve V with the pressure of an expansion exhaust. The expansion pressure is increased momentarily, but since exhaust gas is rapidly exhausted, it is quickly reduced in a pressure, the air forcibly opens the feed air valve V again to flow in the mixing chamber 7 for mixture with the gas, the mixture entering a subsequent cycle. |
