PURPOSE:To obtain an inspecting device for platelike object capable of automatically inspecting the dimensions of a platelike object such as a tatami mat, etc. with lesser error by such an arrangement wherein measuring elements are brought to contact with a platelike object placed on a platelike object supporting frame, and the dimensions of the platelike object can be obtained by measuring the length of its incremental protrusion. CONSTITUTION:In connection with the protrusion of the piston rod 14a of an air cylinder 14 for sliding, No.1 sliding base 26 moves by the same distance as the length of protrusion of the piston rod 14a and No.2 sliding base 29, being pulled by a coil spring 33, is moved by a half of the moving distance of No.1 sliding base 26. By such an arrangement that a displacement measuring unit 13a on No.2 sliding base 29 is set at a middle point between displacement measuring units 13a, 13a at both ends in advance, the position of the displacement measuring unit 13a of No.2 sliding base 29 is set at a middle point between both terminal displacement measuring units 13a, 13a at all times, regardless the amount of movement of No.1 sliding base 26, even if it is moved. By causing 7 pieces of displacement measuring unit, 13, 13, 13a, 13a, 13b, 13b, to operate in sequence, the positions of both ends of the rear end frame Ad, both ends and center of the lower front Ab and both ends of the front end frame Ac are detected respectively. |
