The combustion chamber bottom (1) is for a fluidised-bed firing system, being formed by tubes joined together by ribs and through which coolant flows. Air openings in the ribs are bridged by cover-plates welded to the tubes, while an air chamber is sealed to the underside of the bottom. Partitions divide the chamber into sections, while vertical dividing ribs in line with the partitions are welded to the top surface of the bottom and extending at least for a height equal to the OD of the tube. The cover-plates adjacent to these ribs are extended downwards to the ribs joining the tubes on the side adjacent to them.
